That fall, a group of adults came together to tell local high school students about Jesus in a new way. They began simply, by meeting high school students where they were: the school cafeteria, on the basketball court, and at local events. The next year they began hosting Young Life clubs and bible study groups in their homes, and began preparing for their first Young Life camp trip.
Today, whether in middle schools, high schools, on walks with teen moms or in Capernaum clubs, leaders are meeting students right here in West Michigan - Fremont YL is excited to be partnering with these ministries.
Whether it's in living rooms or the club room, both on the court and off - leaders are meeting with students every week. It is the goal of a Fremont leader to not only recognize students, but to know them by name when they see them at school, the grocery store, or walking down the street.
Since 1973, Fremont leaders have walked with kids and earned the right to be heard in an exhausting and exciting world. In 2018, Young Life reached 348,000 kids every week all around the world.
